The year was 1973 - the days of bell bottoms, VW Bugs and the Brady Bunch. While these things were popular across the country, they were especially popular in Mays Landing.
Now there was a man named Frank from this
town who recommended that Mario open a pizzeria. See Frank and Mario were cousins.
You and I both know how easy it is for a simple phrase to be overheard and repeated. Now as this phrase got repeated and repeated around
the town of Mays Landing, it got more and more common.
The news was that Frank’s cousin Mario was opening a pizzeria! And the people of Mays Landing approached “Cousin Mario” to ask him when he was going to open.
And that’s how Cousin Mario’s got it’s name. A few months later, some of the best pizza pies were being baked by Cousin Mario and his family
